AEO, GEO and SEO for insurance agencies and brokerages

Business owners ask AI who should insure them.Make sure it names your agency.

Your book was built on referrals and carrier relationships. But an owner who is told to “get a cyber policy” now asks an AI assistant first, and carriers, comparison sites and national brokers fill the answer. We make your agency the specialist it names, with SEO as the foundation.

  • For established independent agencies and brokerages
  • Built around the lines you actually write
  • Written by people, approved by you

How buyers ask now

The next account is typing a coverage question, not an agency name

Business owners and affluent households describe a risk, a renewal or a worry to an AI assistant and read the shortlist it gives them. Each question below is a place your agency is either named or invisible.

Problem-first

“Do I need cyber liability insurance for a 30-person accounting practice?”

A buyer who does not yet know the product name. The agency that explains the exposure plainly is the one that gets quoted.

Comparison

“Independent agent or captive agent for my business insurance?”

A structural question you are well placed to answer, and one carriers and aggregators answer in their own favour.

Category

“Workers’ compensation for a roofing contractor in Texas”

Trade plus state is the shape of most commercial questions. An agency that never states its trades and states is hard to place.

Local

“Commercial insurance agent in Columbus for a restaurant group”

Local queries lean on review sites and listings. Your profile and your reviews do the talking.

Problem-first

“My carrier is not renewing our manufacturing policy. What are our options?”

A buyer in a hurry at renewal. Few agencies publish anything for this moment, which makes a clear answer quotable.

Comparison

“Is it better to use a broker or go direct to the carrier for a fleet of 40 trucks?”

A buyer weighing channels. An honest answer about what a broker does and does not add earns trust.

Examples of how buyers phrase these questions, not measured search volumes.

Why agencies go unnamed

Your relationships are real. They are just not written where AI can read them.

Established agencies assume the book speaks for itself. An AI assistant has never met your clients or your carrier reps.

Crowding

Carriers and national brokers fill the answer

In our audit of 16 established brokerages, The Hartford and Aon were each named as an alternative in 14 of 80 answers, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in 11 and Marsh McLennan in 8. Carriers such as Hiscox and Chubb appeared too.

Reviews

Review sites outweigh your website

Yelp was the single most cited source, at 73 of 640 citations, ahead of Wikipedia. A brokerage’s own website was under 1% of what AI cited (5 of 640). Your reviews and listings are doing your talking.

Niche

If you say “insurance broker”, you are every broker

Our tool read 9 of the 16 firms as simply an “insurance broker”. An agency that names its trades, lines and states gives AI something specific to place. One that does not gets a generic answer, or none.

Content

Nobody publishes for the worried moment

Questions that start from a situation, such as a non-renewal or a new exposure, named a brokerage in only 2 of 16 problem-first queries. Carrier blogs, payroll platforms and comparison sites answered instead.

Our audit

We audited 16 established brokerages. Most were hardly named.

We asked AI assistants five buyer questions per firm, with the firm’s name left out. These are large, long-established brokerages, and the results were still thin.

Niche and line-of-business map

Name the trade, the line and the state, and AI has something to place

Commercial buyers ask about their own risk, in their own trade’s words. The agencies AI can name are the ones that say, specifically and consistently, what they write and for whom. Here is how we start for six common niches.

Contractors and trades

Workers’ compensation, general liability and bonding

Buyers ask by trade and state. We build trade-and-state pages, plain explanations of certificates of insurance and class-code questions, and a clear statement of the states you are licensed in.

Restaurants and hospitality

Liquor liability, property and business interruption

Owners ask about one worry at a time. We publish a page for each, written with your producer, and make sure your local profile and reviews tell the same story.

Transportation and fleets

Fleet liability, cargo and what carriers want to see

Fleet owners compare brokers by specialism. We make the niche unmistakable across your site and profiles, and answer the broker-or-direct question honestly.

Professional services

Cyber, professional liability and contractual requirements

Firms ask whether they need a policy before they ask who sells it. Explainers for each exposure, with the limits of what a policy does and does not cover, are what AI quotes.

Manufacturers and distributors

Product liability, property and non-renewal

The urgent moment is a carrier walking away. A guide to what to do, who to call and what a broker can do differently is rare, and rare is quotable.

Affluent households

Umbrella, high-value home and personal lines

Households ask whether the standard policy is enough. Decision guides that say when each option fits, and when it does not, build the trust that referrals used to.

The programme

AEO and GEO first. SEO as the foundation underneath.

AI assistants and Google read the web the same way. They look for a clear entity, direct answers and agreement from sources they trust. We build all three, in the order that gets your agency named.

01

State your appetite so AI can place you

The lines, industries, states and client size you actually write, stated in the same words across your site, your carrier profiles and your listings, with licensing shown the way your state expects.

  • Agency and producer entity profiles and structured data
  • Line-of-business and niche positioning in your buyers’ words
  • Fixes so AI crawlers can read every page

02

Answer the coverage question before the quote

Plain-English pages for the questions owners ask before they call: do I need it, what does it cover, what changes at renewal, broker or direct. Written by people who know the subject and reviewed by your producers.

  • Coverage, renewal and non-renewal pages by niche
  • Honest comparison guides, such as independent or captive
  • Answer blocks built to be quoted

03

Earn the mentions and reviews AI trusts

Review sites, trade media, carrier agency pages and association listings shape what AI names. We help your agency earn an accurate, genuine presence there, openly and within your state’s rules.

  • Review and listing profile audit and clean-up
  • Trade-media and thought-leadership placements
  • A genuine review request process for your clients

04

Measure what AI says

We track how assistants describe your agency across the questions that matter and report it next to search performance, so you can see movement in both.

  • A baseline audit of AI answers for your niches
  • Ongoing citation and mention tracking
  • Search impressions, enquiries and quote requests

SEO is the foundation of all of this, and we run it properly: technical health, structure, content and links. The aim is the AI answer, because that is where the shortlist is forming. The work that gets an agency cited tends to strengthen classic search as well, but we do not promise rankings, citations or a number of enquiries.

Pick your lane

Most agencies start with Inbound. Niche producers often add outbound.

Answer four questions and see which lane fits an agency like yours. It is a starting point for the discovery call, not a quote.

1.What is a new client worth to you?
2.How do new clients find you today?
3.How big is your ideal market?
4.What matters most right now?

Your recommendation

Answer the four questions to see which lane fits.

It takes about twenty seconds. The answer is a starting point for the discovery call, not a quote.

Our usual recommendation for Insurance agencies and brokerages

They find you

Inbound

$2,500 a month

Or $6,000 a quarter, or $18,000 a year, paid up front.

AEO, GEO and SEO programme with visitor identification and scoring, so the attention you earn is worked, not just counted.

How AEO and GEO work

You reach them

Outbound

$2,500 a month

Or $6,000 a quarter, or $18,000 a year, paid up front.

Managed outreach across calls, email and LinkedIn to the accounts you choose, timed by buying signals, with human approval before anything sends.

How signal-based outbound works

Both, as one system

Full Hybrid

$5,000 a month

Or $12,000 a quarter, or $36,000 a year, paid up front.

Inbound and Outbound together, synced to one file per prospect, so nothing falls between the two.

Compare the three lanes

Billed monthly with no lock-in. We recommend around six months because search and AI citations compound, but it is a recommendation, not a minimum. Prices exclude taxes. Full pricing and Terms.

Is it worth it?

What is one new account worth to your agency?

No benchmarks and no promises. Enter your own figures and see what a few more qualified enquiries from search and AI would be worth against the programme fee.

Your numbers, not ours

The figures pre-filled are placeholders, not benchmarks. Replace them with yours. If you do not have them yet, the manual audit estimates demand for you.

4.2

Review meetings a month

1.3

New clients a month

$9,450

New revenue a month

1.6

Months to cover six months of fees

Six months of the programme at monthly billing is $15,000. At $7,500 a client, 2 new clients cover it.

Arithmetic on the figures you entered. It is not a forecast and not a promise of results, and it ignores churn, repeat work and cost of service.

Regulated marketing

Built for how insurance is actually allowed to be marketed

Insurance advertising and licensing are regulated state by state. We write for that from the first draft, and your principal or compliance lead approves everything before it goes live.

Licensed where you say you are

Producers are licensed state by state. We state only the states and lines you are licensed and appointed to write, and show licence details the way your state requires.

No misleading coverage or savings claims

Insurance advertising must not be untrue, deceptive or misleading. We do not promise savings, “full coverage” or the lowest price, and we do not compare policies in ways that leave out limits and exclusions.

Reviews and carrier names

Reviews are genuine and requested openly, never gated or invented. Carrier names and logos are used within your agency agreements and each carrier’s marketing guidelines.

Your approval, your compliance process

Nothing publishes or sends without approval. We are glad to work with your compliance lead or your errors and omissions carrier on wording and process.

General information, not legal advice. Insurance advertising and licensing rules differ by state, and your own state insurance department’s rules apply. The NAIC Unfair Trade Practices Act model is a reference point, not a substitute for your state’s law.

Free, two ways

Start with an audit. Pick who runs it.

Both are free. One is instant and automated. The other is a person doing the full job.

Option one: instant

Audit my site, now

Enter your domain and our AI visibility checker shows how assistants talk about your insurance agency today and which pages they read to build the answer.

  • How AI assistants currently describe you
  • Which sources they cite instead of you
  • Where your site falls short for AI readers

Option two: a real person

Ask for a manual audit

A member of our team reviews your business by hand. You get the findings and the data, free, whether or not you work with us.

  • Full business and website audit
  • Competitor research: who gets named and why
  • Demand research: what your market actually asks
  • The data presented to you, not locked behind a pitch

Free for established businesses auditing their own site. Please use your business email so we can match it to your domain, or email [email protected] confirming the site is yours. We do not run free audits for agencies working on behalf of clients. See white label AEO.

Free. A real person does the work. No obligation to buy anything afterwards.

Honest fit

Who this is for, and who it is not for

A good fit

  • Established independent agencies and brokerages with a real book, carrier relationships and clients you are proud of
  • Accounts worth enough that one new one pays for the service
  • A principal or marketing lead who can approve content
  • An agency ready to be specific about the trades, lines and states it writes best

Not a fit

  • New agencies with no book of business yet
  • MGAs, wholesalers and carriers
  • Shared-lead or purchased-lead models where every enquiry is bought, not earned
  • Anyone asking for savings or coverage claims your state will not allow, or for guaranteed rankings

Works on whatever your website runs on

  • WordPress
  • Webflow
  • Shopify
  • Squarespace

Questions

Insurance agencies and brokerages: AEO, GEO and SEO, answered

The questions we get asked first.

Why do AI assistants name carriers and national brokers instead of my agency?

Because AI names what is clearly described and widely corroborated. Carriers and national brokers publish a lot and are covered everywhere. If your agency is described generically on its own site and thin on the reviews, listings and trade media AI trusts, it is hard to place, however strong your book is.

We live on referrals and carrier relationships. Does this matter for us?

It matters most to the part of your growth that referrals do not reach: owners who do not have an agent they trust yet and ask an AI assistant or search first. Referrals still win business, and being named by AI is a second route in, not a replacement.

What does “niche clarity” actually mean for an agency?

Saying plainly which industries, lines and states you write, in the words your buyers use. “Workers’ comp and general liability for roofing and trades contractors in Texas” is easy to place. “A full-service independent agency” is not.

Do reviews and licensing really affect whether AI names us?

They are entity signals. Review sites and listings were among the most cited sources in our audit, and accurate licensing and state coverage help AI place you geographically. We cannot say how any assistant weighs them, which is why we measure the answers.

Does this respect state insurance advertising rules?

We write for those rules from the first draft: no misleading claims about coverage or savings, accurate licensing, genuine reviews. Nothing goes live without your approval. Rules differ by state, so your own compliance lead should make the final call on wording.

Do you guarantee our agency will be named?

No. We do not guarantee rankings, AI citations or a number of enquiries, and nobody honest can. We tell you plainly what we expect for your niches, and we say so if this is not the right fit.

How is this different from buying insurance leads?

Purchased leads are shared with other agencies and stop when you stop paying. This builds a public presence that AI and search can read and that you own. We do not sell leads and we do not buy links or reviews.

How long before we see results?

The first months go on foundations, and search and AI citations compound over time. We report early signals from the start and recommend around six months, but you pay monthly and can cancel any time.

What does it cost?

Inbound is $2,500 a month on monthly billing with no long-term commitment, or $6,000 a quarter or $18,000 a year paid up front. Outbound is the same price and Full Hybrid is $5,000 a month. See the pricing page for full detail.

Can you also do outbound for our agency?

Yes, where it fits, aimed at businesses and within your rules, with anything that amounts to advice or a quote left to your licensed producers. Many agencies start with Inbound and add outbound once the visibility foundation is in place.

Be the insurance agency AI names when your buyers ask.

Thirty minutes. We look at where you stand in AI answers and search, who is being named instead, and whether this programme makes sense for your business. If it does not, we will say so.

  • A clear scope and price before any commitment
  • A game plan you validate before work begins
  • A free audit either way, instant or by a person
