For each business, our audit tool reads the homepage, classifies what it does in the words a buyer would use, writes five buyer-intent queries (local, category, problem-first and comparison) and runs each as a live, grounded AI search with the business’s own name left out. We record whether it was named, who was named instead, and which sources were cited.
It is the same tool behind our free AI visibility checker.
These are established businesses that we chose, not random samples, so they likely flatter smaller practices. We read homepages only, five queries per business is a small slice of real buyer language, and AI answers change from one run to the next. Many sites also blocked our crawler, which we report rather than hide.
Treat each average as a snapshot, not a ranking. The original 29-company audit is also published.
Run the same audit on your own site in ninety seconds, or talk to us about turning the findings into AI visibility, with outbound alongside it if that fits.
